Despite having the lowest application fee among all Parent Visas, applicants should be ready for a long wait as the approval process can take up to 50 years. The Australian Government also allows community organisations to sponsor your application if:

• The senior representative of the organisation agrees to sponsor you
• The organisation is legally established in Australia
• The organisation has been operating in Australia for at least a year
• The organisation is financially stable

The current waiting period for applicants is 50 years due to the limited number of spaces provided each financial year for permanent family visas by the Government. Applications are processed in the order they are lodged.
